Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport Posts 50% Increase in Passenger Traffic
Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport (UUDD), the business aviation destination for the Russian capital since last winter, posted a 50% increase in passenger traffic for January through May 2004 over the same period last year.
Passenger traffic for this period reached 4.083 million, with 2.074 million of those passengers traveling on international flights. The highest growth was recorded on routes to such popular destinations as Hurgada, Sharm El Sheikh, Dubai and Antalya.
The growth in domestic passenger traffic at Domodedovo was also impressive. For the January through May period, traffic was 2.009 million, a 23% increase over the last year’s number.
